Majid Mani, M.D., FACS, FAAO, Vice President
Majid Mani, M.D., is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with an emphasis in caring for patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and glaucoma. He is the Vice President of California Retina Associates and it known for his treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Mani has received numerous awards from the American Diabetes Association, recognizing his work. He is the first ophthalmologist to receive the Doctor of the Year Award from El Centro Regional Hospital, serves on the Advisory Board of American Diabetes Association, and is a member of the Imperial County Diabetic Education Committee.

- Dr. Mani was voted by his peers, both within his specialty and outside, as one of San Diego County’s Top Doctors by San Diego County Medical Society for four consecutive years (2013-16).

Dr. Mani received his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine graduating with honors. With his strong academic background and knowledge in the field of Ophthalmology, in particular eye issues concerning the diabetic patient, he has become a sought after speaker and lecturer on this subject, as well as all retinal diseases and treatments. Being an Assistant Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology, Dr. Mani uses his wide experience and knowledge to the advantage of his patients. His superb capabilities have led to many outstanding presentations in different medical settings, which have added to his level of expertise in patient care and benefitted his position as medical director of the El Centro office. Dr. Mani is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the San Diego County Medical Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is affiliated with Sharp Memorial Hospital and El Centro Regional Medical Center.
